Study on the Law of Hydraulic Fracture Propagation in Low Permeability Thin Interbed Reservoir

The third member of Weixinnanliu in the west South China Sea develops thin interbeds, and vertical extension fracturing fractures is excessive. Once extend vertically to upper lower aquifers, it easy cause water flooding oil wells, effect after not obvious. present work aims explore longitudinal law Low Permeability Thin Interbed Reservoir based on finite element calculation platform. A three-dimensional expansion model hydraulic target reservoir was established, displacement, fluid viscosity, minimum horizontal principal stress difference, stress, interlayer thickness, perforation point separation were studied. distance other factors affect crack propagation law. research results show that interbed have three forms: T-shaped fractures, through-layer I-shaped fractures; for layer, overlying relatively large, along direction. Vertical cracks; farther or greater smaller thickness required control fracture height; difference 3 MPa, between points exceeds 10 m, be ≥4 m; In order ensure width middle spacer does placement proppant, recommended displacement controlled within m3/min viscosity 150 mPa·s; addition, height different due geological parameters. Different, wells need targeted analysis.
